Restaurant App

After completing the Next.js course from ZeroToMastery in April 2022, I decided to apply my newly acquired skills by building a web application for a restaurant. This project was intended to deepen my understanding of the Next.js ecosystem while creating a functional and engaging platform tailored to restaurant operations. The application integrates Magic.link authentication, offering a passwordless login system for a seamless and secure user experience. Customers can conveniently reserve tables for specific dates, simplifying the process of planning their visit. A daily schedule overview keeps users informed about private events, anniversaries, and other special occasions, ensuring they can choose the best times to visit. The platform features a detailed menu display, providing information about the ingredients used in each dish, helping users make informed choices. Customers can place orders directly through the application, with an intuitive shopping cart to review and manage their selections before finalizing their purchase. Additionally, the application includes a dedicated contact page, offering essential details like phone numbers, email addresses, and potentially a contact form to facilitate communication between the restaurant and its patrons. An "About Us" page shares the restaurant's story, mission, and values, building a meaningful connection with its audience. To enhance engagement further, a gallery page showcases the restaurant's ambiance, delectable dishes, and special events, giving users a visual taste of what they can expect. This project allowed me to merge technical functionality with design elements, creating a user-friendly experience that reflects the unique character of the restaurant.
